Ken Pederson, the owner of Pederson HVAC, Inc., started working in the heating and air conditioning field after graduating from Belleville Area College in 1988 with an Associate of Science degree.  He was hired on almost immediately at Schneider Service Company in St. Louis, Missouri.  In the nine years he spent there, Ken was trained in various aspects of the trade such as service, installation, and custom sheet metal working.  His predominant area of expertise was installation; residential, up to and including 10-ton roof top units. 

 Ken left Schneider Service Company in 1997 to work for Gaines HVAC, a 100 year-old boiler company, which is also located in St. Louis. There, Ken was given the ability to diversify his skills, which includes boiler maintenance. After three years at Gaines, Ken decided to give up the long drive over the river and started his own self-proprietorship.

 In 2000, Ken started doing local service and installation out of his garage and a single van. After one year at home, Ken purchased an old property on the main street of New Baden, with the help of friends and family, the building was transformed into functional office spaces, showrooms, and storage areas.
